see-u by HBF (see-u) is a private health insurer that operates as an open health fund

Background

Established in 1976, CUA Health was a subsidiary of Great Southern Bank, previously the CUA Credit Union. It is based in Brisbane.

In 2021, HBF bought CUA Health, adding around 79,000 new members and moving the West Australian-based insurer into the Queensland market. 

On 1 March 2024, CUA Health rebranded as see-u By HBF.
