If you are an Australian who lives overseas and returns to Australia temporarily, your Lifetime Health Cover Loading will depend on your particular situation.
There are 3 factors that could affect your Loading:
- You can go without Hospital Cover for 1,094 days after your Base Day without having to pay the Lifetime Health Cover Loading.
- You can visit Australia for up to 90 days and still be considered to be overseas.
- When you visit Australia for more than 90 days, you have 1,094 ‘Days of Absence’ to take out Hospital Cover without paying the Lifetime Health Cover Loading.
