Your Base Day is the later date of:
Special circumstances apply if you are a new migrant or an Australian who has been living overseas.
Step 2:
Calculate your Lifetime Health Cover Loading
You will pay a 2% Lifetime Health Cover Loading on top of the cost of your Hospital Cover for every year from your Base Day before taking out cover.
The maximum Loading you will have to pay is 70%.
Step 3:
Consider when you will stop paying the Lifetime Health Cover Loading
You will stop paying the Lifetime Health Cover Loading 10 years after taking out Hospital Cover.
