How to order a new Medicare Card

What to do if your Medicare Card is about to expire

If your Medicare Card is about to expire, you do not need to do anything.

Medicare will send you a new Medicare Card about 4-8 weeks before your current card expires.

It will be sent to the address you have already provided.

What to do if your Medicare Card has been lost or stolen

If your Medicare Card has been lost or stolen, you can order a new one in 3 ways:

Option 1:

Use your Medicare online account through your myGov account.

Option 2:

Use the Express Plus Medicare mobile app.

Option 3:

Call the Medicare Program on 132 011.

Your new card will replace your old card. You will have the same Medicare number.
